Established in 1993, Hanrahan Associates set out to provide a specialist recruitment service to International Banks, with the main focus on Fixed Income Markets (Cash and Derivatives), Structured Derivatives, Foreign Exchange and Money Markets.   Initially we concentrated on trading and sales personnel.

Since then, we have successfully supplied many International Banks with tailor-made solutions for the recruitment of trading, sales, structuring, and research staff in these Markets.  Our expertise is derived from our own 'hands-on' experience of the Markets, in-depth knowledge of the Market Place and a thorough understanding of both the products involved and the culture of the individuals employed within them.

How we work
We specialise in the recruitment of high calibre individuals via Executive Search, whilst ensuring that our service is both time and cost effective.  Our database of registered Candidates is constantly expanding, and invariably we use this as our first port of call when looking for suitable Candidates, before going on to conduct a thorough search of the Marketplace.

We focus equally on the needs of our Clients and our Candidates, as without one or the other, we can not succeed!

We have a broad portfolio of Clients ranging from the ‘bulge bracket’ houses, through to upper 2nd tier banks, as well as medium sized and niche operations, which enables us to offer Candidates a broad range of opportunities which best suit their expertise and career plans.

Most of these Client relationships span many years, and are very well established.  As a result, in many cases we have a track record of working very closely with the Global and European Heads of Trading, Sales or Structuring in these Banks.  Consequently, we are able to gain a clear understanding of their business, what sort of person they wish to recruit, and the motivation behind the hire, as well as the full career potential for the Candidates that we put forward.
